About the Forest Grove Chamber of Commerce

Our resources include membership dues and money raised through a variety of activities, from the Annual Dinner Auction to advertising sales.
Our most important resource is our members.  Unlike other businesses, our customers (members) collaborate to provide services to each other.

Chamber members contribute their business skills and expertise to a variety of committees that are charged by the board of directors to take action on behalf of chamber members.

When you consider that a company membership is not reserved for the owner or manager only, and that all employees are encouraged to participate and contribute, you can see that the Chamber has a veritable army of experts who can work together to advance the commercial, financial and civic interests of our community.

Forest Grove Chamber of Commerce Goals

• Create a Strong Local Economy

Encourage Chamber members and residents to shop locally. Promote the interests of our business community and work to bring new business to Forest Grove. Respond to visitor and local inquiries with references to Chamber member businesses and support services. Maintain the Chamber website with detailed information about business opportunities, the community, and our membership.

• Provide Networking Opportunities

Facilitate opportunities for business people to acquaint themselves with others in the community. Business After Hours, introductions at the monthly luncheon and event sponsorships are a few examples of ways the Chamber brings our business and community leaders together to work toward common goals.

• Support the Interests of Business

Represent business concerns to local, regional, state and federal entities. Provide opportunities for chamber members to become better acquainted with candidates and representatives by holding forums and informational meetings.

• Promote the Community

Provide information on community attractions and events on our website and facebook page, face to face with visitors, and through relocation packets and mailings. Maintain an up-to-date website with current information that allows visitors and residents alike to view community information via the internet.
